About The Position

Mindify Wellness and Care is hiring Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BCs) to provide psychiatric services onsite at a partner adult day care center in Sewell, New Jersey, and through telehealth. The position offers an established patient caseload, ongoing referrals, administrative and clinical support, and flexible scheduling based on provider availability and patient needs. Onsite availability in Sewell is required; this is a hybrid position and not fully remote.

The partner adult day care center operates Monday through Friday, typically from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Onsite coverage is generally needed one to three days per week. Specific days and hours depend on center needs and provider availability. Telehealth visits may be scheduled on onsite days or additional days.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is $70–$90 per completed initial psychiatric evaluation and $40–$60 per completed follow-up medication-management visit. Rates depend on experience, credentials, qualifications, and clinical expertise. Mindify provides patient referrals, administrative scheduling support, malpractice insurance coverage, and a collaborative agreement for services provided to Mindify patients. These coverage and agreement arrangements apply only while actively contracted with Mindify and do not extend to outside employment or private practice. Part-time or full-time W-2 opportunities may be considered in the future based on organizational needs and mutual interest.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Active New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration.
• Strong psychiatric assessment and medication-management skills.
• Ability to provide onsite services in Sewell and telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a PMHNP is preferred.
• Newly certified PMHNPs with strong relevant psychiatric experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in outpatient behavioral health, geriatric psychiatry, community-based care, or telehealth is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria.
• Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct risk assessments and address clinical concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, professional standards, and organizational policies.
