Now, you have the opportunity to join us Patient Care Director / Nurse Manager – RN – Medicine & Psychiatry – 11North In this role, you will provide clinical operations oversight for the medical and psychiatric inpatient unit (11 North), ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of RN experience in Psychiatric Nursing
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field
  • Current New York State RN license
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

  • Previous leadership and collaborative experience
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement practices
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a transformational leader through shared governance, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence
  • Mentor, supervise, and evaluate staff, supporting their growth and development while promoting engagement and retention
  • Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure optimal unit performance
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial accountability and effective utilization of resources
  • Continuously assess unit operations and implement process improvements to enhance patient experience, safety, and outcomes
  • Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Act as a change agent, leading and advancing initiatives that improve quality, performance, and operational excellence across the unit
