About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Nurse Manager to lead its Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center Nassau in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The department provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Nurse Manager leads daily department operations and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and clinical excellence while developing high-performing teams, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Hospital experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Department experience.
• Leadership or management experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the Emergency Department.
• Delegate responsibilities and guide nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily workflow to maintain appropriate coverage and operational efficiency.
• Conduct staff coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and departmental operations.
• Monitor quality, patient safety, and operational performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to support departmental operations and patient flow.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and evidence-based practice.
