About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for its Emergency Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. This is a full-time, day shift position. The technician assists Registered Nurses with patient care and daily healthcare needs, supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. The role works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support quality patient care and efficient Emergency Department operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Licensed EMT or CNA required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist Registered Nurses in caring for patients with healthcare needs, including activities of daily living.
- Maintain a safe patient environment.
- Collect laboratory specimens.
- Monitor patient intake and output.
- Document in the electronic medical record.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
