About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Cook I for the Dietary Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity primarily working day shifts, with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate has experience as a line cook or grill cook; ServSafe certification is a plus. The Cook I prepares food for patients, guests, and staff by following recipes and production charts, and works in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. The role also includes completing logs, production charts, and cleaning schedules as assigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures. Baptist Clay Medical Campus is located at U.S. 17 and Village Square Parkway on Fleming Island. The facility opened in May 2013 to provide care to residents of Clay County.
Requirements
- Less than one year of food service experience preferred.
- Less than one year of cooking experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a line cook or grill cook.
- ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities
- Measure, mix, portion, and cook food according to provided recipes and production charts for patients, guests, and staff.
- Work cleanly, safely, and sanitarily in accordance with department policies.
- Complete assigned logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, and other documentation in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, patients, and staff.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
