About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Cook I for the Dietary Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. The role involves preparing food for patients, guests, and staff by following recipes and production charts. The Cook I works in a fast-paced environment and is expected to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work practices and provide excellent customer service. This is a full-time opportunity primarily working day shifts, with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Less than one year of food service experience preferred.
• Less than one year of cooking experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a line cook or grill cook.
• ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mix, portion, and cook food according to provided recipes and production charts for patients, guests, and staff.
• Work in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner in accordance with department policies.
• Complete logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, and other items assigned by management, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, patients, and staff.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
