About The Position
Baptist Heart Specialists is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Clay office in Fleming Island, Florida. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The experienced candidate will perform back-office Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting the provider.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of patient care experience.
- Experience in a physician's office.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certified Medical Assistant credential.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical assistance to physicians.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Greet and chaperone patients during medical visits.
- Maintain medical documentation.
- Schedule care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician.
- Process prescription requests and referrals.
- Room patients and assist the provider.
