About The Position
Baptist Heart Specialists is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Clay office in Fleming Island, Florida. This full-time position performs back-office medical assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting the provider. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The primary location is the Clay Office Building at 1747 Baptist Clay Dr, Fleming Island, FL 32003.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of patient care experience.
- Experience in a physician’s office.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical assistance to physicians.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Greet and chaperone patients during medical visits.
- Maintain medical documentation.
- Schedule care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician.
- Process prescription requests and referrals.
- Room patients and assist the provider.
