Emergency Department Technician, Baptist Clay
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for its Emergency Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. The technician assists Registered Nurses with patient care and daily healthcare needs, working under an RN’s supervision to support quality care and efficient Emergency Department operations. Duties include supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. This is a full-time, day-shift position at the Clay Main Building.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Licensed EMT or CNA required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist Registered Nurses with Emergency Department patient care, including activities of daily living.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Collect laboratory specimens.
- Monitor patient intake and output.
- Document in the electronic medical record.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
