About The Position

UVA Health is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), such as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner, for an inpatient orthopedic surgery practice. The APP works closely with attending orthopedic surgeons, residents, interns, fellow APPs, and interdisciplinary teams in a high-volume, coordinated inpatient environment. There are no surgical assisting responsibilities. The position offers part-time or full-time scheduling options. Part-time candidates work two 12-hour shifts; full-time candidates work three 12-hour shifts plus one additional shift per month. There is no call, no weekend work, and major holidays are off. Scheduling and time off are managed collaboratively by the team. Candidates must submit a cover letter. New hires undergo background checks and pre-employment health screenings; safety-sensitive positions involving direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
