About The Position

Requirements

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Auditing, balancing, and consolidating departmental ledger accounts.
• Preparing various hotel operating reports.
• Handling the requests and transactions of hotel guests.
• Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Providing exceptional guest service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.
• Posting all daily room and outstanding charges.
• Balancing all revenue totals of cash and credits against the revenue report.
• Verifying and preparing registration cards for arriving guests.
• Handling hotel phone system, transferring calls, and taking messages for guests as well as hotel staff.
• Taking, modifying, and canceling guest reservations.
• Checking in/out guests according to hotel and/or brand standards.
• Addressing inquiries, requests, and complaints from guests. Coordinating with other departments to fulfill guests' special requests.
• Notifying housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with guestrooms and hotel grounds.
• Providing information and assistance to guests regarding the hotel and local surroundings.
• Creating and/or printing the required reports.
• Verifying each front desk shift’s transactions.
• Finalizing transactions completed during the day, including completing a daily income report and a daily F&B Revenue Report.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Front Office area.
• Performing cashier duties, cashing travelers’ checks, and posting phone charges and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts.
• Following in-house procedures to help ensure the security of guests and employees.
• Being knowledgeable about hotel emergency procedures.
