About The Position

As a Field Service Mechanic at Black Equipment, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment from top-tier vendors. You’ll use your expertise to solve complex issues, order parts efficiently, and work professionally with customers to keep their operations running smoothly. Whether in our shop or out in the field, your skills will make a difference every day.

Requirements

  • Communicate well with customers, Parts department, managers and coworkers.
  • 1+ years of experience as a mechanic.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair processes.
  • Understand how to read and use manuals, schematics and documents.
  • Use tools safely.
  • Be physically fit for heavy work.
  • Local travel for field service (road) mechanics (company vehicle and fuel provided).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift mechanic experience
  • Previous field service experience
  • More than 1+ years of experience as a mechanic

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diverse equipment, including tough cases that challenge your skills.
  • Order parts seamlessly through our dedicated Parts department.
  • Build trust with customers through professional, high-quality service.
  • Mentor junior mechanics, sharing your expertise to shape the next generation.

Benefits

  • $25-30 Plus/hr. ($1,000 – $1,200+ weekly) – based on experience. Top earners make way more!
  • Frequent OT available.
  • Predictable 40 hrs. per week.
  • Day shift, M-F
