About The Position
Swift Transportation is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair company-owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment. The role is based at 9200 US-301, Statesboro, GA 30458, and offers a Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. shift. Pay is $23–$30 per hour, with an overtime rate of $37.50–$45 when overtime is available. Technicians receive hands-on OEM training with manufacturers such as Freightliner, International, Volvo, Cummins, and Detroit. Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Comprehensive background check.
- Pre-employment hair drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Complete quality preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company-owned tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to applicable OEM, DOT, Swift, and other specifications.
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor or complex equipment repairs.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components.
- Perform tire maintenance, including repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification.
