Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice
About The Position
Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area. The role is designed for individuals beginning a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service custom residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with potential earnings of $60,000–$90,000 or more after promotion. The work is on the road and involves travel, mostly regional travel from Virginia Beach, Virginia, with travel of up to 90%.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able and willing to travel up to 90%, mostly regionally from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
- Physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and performing hard physical work.
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
- Know how to safely use hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.

- Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries.
