About The Position

Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. The role is designed for someone beginning a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics, learning to install and service custom residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with stated post-promotion earning potential of $60,000–$90,000 or more. The position involves travel, primarily regional travel from Charlotte, and is performed on the road.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able and willing to travel up to 90%, mostly regionally from Charlotte, North Carolina.
• Physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and doing hard physical work.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Knowledge of how to safely use hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
