About The Position

Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Sarasota, Florida area. The role is designed for individuals seeking a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service custom residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with stated earning potential of $60,000–$90,000 or more after promotion. The work location is on the road and involves travel, mostly regional travel from Sarasota, Florida, of up to 90%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able and willing to travel up to 90%.
• Physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and performing hard physical work.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Knowledge of safe hand-tool use.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries.

Responsibilities
