About The Position

Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice for work based on the road, primarily traveling regionally from the Los Angeles, California area. The apprentice program is intended for people beginning a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with potential earnings of $60,000–$90,000 or more after promotion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able and willing to travel up to 90%, mostly regionally from Los Angeles, California.
• Physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and performing hard physical work.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Know how to use hand tools safely.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
