About The Position

Johnson & Towers, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, is hiring a C-level Diesel Mechanic/Technician at its Middle River, Maryland location. The technician will diagnose and repair customer vehicles or equipment, perform preventive maintenance and overhauls, and use OEM software, tools, and technologies. The role requires previous technician experience and a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and communication with management. Indel Power Group is a distributor and dealer for brands including mtu, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier. Requirements

Previous experience as a technician.
Ability to perform physically demanding technician work, including prolonged standing or walking and occasional heavy lifting and pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
Ability to frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; bend; stretch; or twist while performing repairs and inspections.
Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication skills.
Ability to work safely in noisy areas with odors and in areas with temperature or humidity extremes.

Responsibilities

Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, and repair customer vehicles or equipment.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Communicate job status, updates, and changes to the management team.
