About The Position

Join JLL's facilities management team as a Maintenance Mechanic with Electrical Focus, supporting critical operations at two pharmaceutical facilities in Princeton, NJ. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of complex industrial electrical systems within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. You'll rotate weekly between sites, providing specialized electrical expertise while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence and support JLL's commitment to delivering superior facility management services to our clients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum 3+ years of electrical experience in industrial and/or commercial environments
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools for electrical work
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks in industrial settings
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Current Electrical and/or HVAC License
  • Two years of trades school education in electrical system design, refrigeration, or HVAC
  • Previous experience working in healthcare or pharmaceutical environments
  • Familiarity with work order management systems and CMMS platforms
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in pharmaceutical facilities

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute electrical maintenance, installation, and repair work on industrial electrical apparatus and control equipment in pharmaceutical facilities
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings to organize work efficiently while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
  • Install electrical raceways, bus work, and perform precise measurements, cutting, threading, and bending of conduit using specialized tools
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty wiring, motors, and electrical equipment while diagnosing and upgrading electrical/instrumentation systems
  • Document all work performed and hours spent in the CMMS system while responding promptly to work orders and conducting routine inspections
  • Address general maintenance tasks including plumbing issues and door repairs, collaborating with other trades as needed
  • Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to maintain facility structures and assets
