About The Position

The HVAC Mechanic operates, maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, repairs, programs, and balances real-property HVAC equipment and facility-related control systems at CMI’s customer site in Omaha, Nebraska. The role supports continuous, safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mission-critical facilities, including HVAC systems serving communications and server rooms, CRAC units, associated ductwork, controls, and water-treatment components. The mechanic performs predictive, preventive, corrective, emergency, and priority-work-order maintenance; maintains refrigeration and HVAC equipment; supports water-treatment and corrosion-control activities; and maintains DDC, EMCS, and BMS functions. The position also requires accurate work-order, maintenance, equipment, calibration, and condition documentation using NexGen IT/TRIRIGA or a Government-designated system. Work must comply with manufacturer requirements, applicable Unified Facilities Criteria, ASHRAE standards, approved procedures, and applicable safety requirements. The position supports 24/7 mission-essential operations, including emergency response and after-hours callouts, and may require continuity support during holidays, base closures, emergencies, or Government shutdowns as directed. The mechanic coordinates work affecting controlled or HEMP-protected areas, protects Government property, maintains orderly work areas, and provides professional customer service while coordinating with Government representatives and other contractors.
