About The Position

ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to support its Sheppard AFB Base Operations Support Contract in Wichita Falls, Texas. The role is responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and operating heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and related equipment. It also includes water treatment for closed-loop and open-loop HVAC systems and work on commercial and residential refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. The position requires on-call duties and shift work during the on-call period.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Five years of HVAC experience; military experience may be substituted.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC license is highly desirable and may substitute for years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and operate HVAC equipment.
• Perform minor controls repairs or replacements, including replacing electrical motors and operators.
• Assist with descaling equipment as required.
• Install, repair, maintain, and operate air conditioning equipment, refrigeration systems, water coolers, air compressors, and vacuum systems.
• Work with EMCS to ensure HVAC systems are monitored and controlled by EMCS.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air handling units, chillers, condensers, boilers, furnaces, and pumps.
• Perform water treatment on closed-loop and open-loop HVAC systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the customer and mission.
