About The Position
The Material Handler works onsite in Jonesboro, Arkansas, supporting ABB’s manufacturing operations. The role involves identifying materials to be moved from work orders or oral instructions, opening containers, and manually loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. Other duties may be assigned. This is a safety-sensitive position under the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment of 2016. The work schedule is 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed to meet customer demand. Candidates must have work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to present information to individuals, groups, or clients through reports or correspondence.
- Work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine which materials or containers to move.
- Open containers.
- Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
