About The Position

The Material Handler operates powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products, and checks inbound and outbound products. The role ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are recorded correctly, and products meet customer requirements. The position is Second Shift Core, scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. Pay is $22.50 per hour, with a $0.75 second-shift differential.

Requirements

Ability to operate powered equipment for up to 80% of the shift.
Basic warehouse knowledge.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and safety rules.
Ability to work the required shifts.
May require pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds; these activities are rarely performed.
Constant sitting and standing; operation of forklifts and other powered equipment.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months of warehouse experience preferred.
Six months of forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products.
Load and unload products, verifying the correct product type and quantity.
Pull, prepare, put away, and pick products for shipment or stock.
Check inbound and outbound products for damage and infestation, and ensure product code dates are recorded properly.
Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and address details with customer orders to ensure shipments are complete and correct.
Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor the power source as necessary.
Verify and report discrepancies, including unavailable products and OS&D.
Inspect operated equipment daily and report issues.
Maintain warehouse equipment, materials, and the facility in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
Assist with physical inventories.
Follow OSHA and MSDS safety standards and perform other duties as assigned.
