About The Position

The Material Handler supports efficient warehouse and distribution operations by handling, moving, and organizing tile and stone materials. The role includes maintaining accurate inventory, fulfilling orders, keeping storage and work areas organized, and contributing to a safe work environment. The position is full-time and requires overtime as business needs dictate.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience as a material handler in a warehouse environment, preferably in the tile and stone industry.
Previous experience loading and unloading trucks.
Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
Proven experience handling materials in a precise and meticulous manner.

Responsibilities

Safely move, load, and unload tile and stone products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other designated equipment.
Inspect materials for damage and ensure they meet quality standards before handling or shipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts, assist with physical inventories, and work with inventory control to resolve discrepancies.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free; arrange storage spaces to support efficient material flow.
Follow safety protocols and promptly report safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and address issues.
Communicate with suppliers and carriers about inbound and outbound shipments.
