About The Position
Sheridan Liberty is hiring a full-time Bindery Material Handler for its Liberty, Missouri operation. This hands-on warehouse and production role keeps finishing equipment supplied and organized, supporting the flow of materials through print production. On-the-job training is provided, and the position offers opportunities for career growth and development. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Overtime and occasional weekend work are required. The work takes place in a fast-paced, noisy environment and involves standing and walking for extended periods, bending and twisting, and lifting materials.
Requirements
- Ability to feed, stock, move, jog, and rotate production items.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse layouts and item-code identification.
- Ability to use stock description forms and manual handling tools such as dollies, carts, hand trucks, and strapping tools.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend and twist, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards or bindery and production machinery.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders, identify required materials, and feed or pile down products at equipment.
- Jog products off the counter stacker and stack them neatly on skids for transfer between departments.
- Separate signatures, count or weigh materials, and record data on daily production sheets.
- Complete skid flags and packing slips, install strapping or bracing, and attach identifying tags to secure materials for transit.
- Stack materials into bundles and secure them with banding equipment.
- Occasionally operate automated machinery, industrial trucks, or hoists.
