About The Position

STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) provides contract sterilization services to medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer, and industrial customers through a global network of more than 50 facilities. The Material Handler supports the movement and processing of customer products through sterilization while following established safety, quality, and regulatory procedures. This is a day-shift role from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The starting pay is $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience, and the position is eligible for bonus participation.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of warehouse experience in an FDA, ISO, or GMP environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work while seated or standing, using hands.
Dependability and punctuality.
Ability to work as a team player.
Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer skills.
Basic math skills.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Use handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to transfer customer products through the sterilization process.
Load and unload customer products manually or with automated equipment into the validated sterilization process.
Place and retrieve monitoring devices on products to ensure proper sterilization levels.
Follow health and safety requirements in facilities using industrial sterilization modalities, including completing required training and annual certification to use personal protective equipment.
Ensure safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
Process customer products safely and accurately according to established procedures and FDA, ISO, and GMP guidelines.
