About The Position

The Material Handler II processes customer orders to meet customer expectations and works in one or more warehouse process paths: receiving, picking, packing, or shipping. This position is primarily in the Shipping department, where associates scan and sort shipments according to standard operating procedures, complete hazardous-material documentation, and scan and move orders to designated pallet spots or trailers for departure. The department’s functions support the safe, secure, and accurate loading of customer orders onto trailers for final delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of work experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or a related field.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Desire to work as part of a team while also being able to work independently and solve problems quickly.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with powered industrial trucks, such as order pickers, cherry pickers, reach trucks, or standup forklifts, and/or electric pallet jacks (riding or walking).
