About The Position

The Material Handler II works in a warehouse environment handling returned goods, inbound shipments, raw materials, and finished goods. The role processes and tracks material through inventory, prepares products and documentation for shipment, and operates manual or powered material-handling equipment such as a forklift. The position also participates in process-improvement and lean Kaizen activities and may work on special projects.

Requirements

• Able to read, write, and perform basic calculations.
• Able to navigate computer programs accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Able to stand, walk, squat, and bend for extended periods.
• Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a high level of hand-eye coordination while operating a forklift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience; otherwise, must complete training in forklift safety, rules, and operation.

Responsibilities

• Unload, unpack, and process returned goods; verify and receive inbound shipments.
• Store, pick, count, verify, and stock raw materials and finished goods.
• Enter data for inventory activities and maintain records tracking material flow.
• Operate manual or powered material-handling equipment, such as a forklift.
• Prepare products and documents for shipping and ensure accurate transactions to end users.
• Perform process-improvement and lean Kaizen activities.
• Work on special projects as they arise.
