About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for warehouse cleanliness and proper organization, including maintaining production materials in the racks. The role involves loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or using carts, pallets, skids, and pallet jacks, while following company safety guidelines and best practices. The position also supports accurate inventory handling, order picking, product identification, packaging, and documentation of inbound and outbound load conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand written pick lists and other work orders.
• Ability to clearly identify products from package labels.
• Must have knowledge of the custom store fixture industry and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and proper arrangement of the warehouse.
• Ensure production materials are properly maintained in warehouse racks.
• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand, on carts, pallets, skids, and pallet jacks, following safety guidelines and best practices.
• Accurately count and record quantities to support proper inventory transactions.
• Verify that moved materials match descriptions on associated documentation.
• Follow proper labeling practices and keep product numbers up to date.
• Package bulk materials appropriately using methods such as boxing, taping, wrapping, banding, or shrink wrapping to prevent damage during transportation.
• Locate, identify, label, and pick required materials from printed pick lists.
• Pick and pull daily orders without using a forklift.
• Use a camera to document inbound and outbound load conditions and quality issues.
• Use basic hand tools to open or close crates and complete basic assembly tasks.
