About The Position

The Material Handler I performs routine, manual material-handling work with attention to detail in an onsite manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for timely and accurate movement of manufacturing components, management of material flow into production, and coordination of materials transported within the facility. The employee works with quality and production teams to move parts throughout the plant, maintain inventory records, and support component identification and traceability.

The position is scheduled for the second shift, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed by the business. The posting also states that the employee must meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends. Compensation is $20.75 per hour plus a $2 shift premium.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time reliably and arrive at work on time.
• Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate material-handling equipment, which may include stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, EZ Reach equipment, and dock trucks.
• Move manufacturing components accurately and on time.
• Manage material flow into production and coordinate transportation of materials within the manufacturing facility.
• Work with quality and production teams to manage the movement of parts and materials throughout the plant.
• Maintain the computerized inventory system (ERP) and reconcile discrepancies as required.
• Work with quality technicians and logistics material handlers to ensure component identification and traceability.
• Conduct fact finding and problem solving as required.
• Assist the Team Leader with miscellaneous duties and projects as directed.
• Meet the work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
