About The Position

The Material Handler ensures the efficient flow of materials in warehouse and production environments. The role receives, stores, and distributes materials and products accurately and safely to support operations, working with inventory control and shipping departments to maintain accurate records and fulfill orders on time. It requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to prevent damage and promote workplace safety. The position contributes to supply-chain productivity by managing materials from receipt through shipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to read and interpret barcodes and use warehouse management systems.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with assembly-line operations.
• Forklift or other material handling equipment certification.
• Experience with computerized inventory control systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse.
• Pick and pack orders accurately to meet shipping and receiving requirements.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and report discrepancies or damage.
• Keep storage areas organized and ensure materials are stored safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Use warehouse management systems and barcode scanning technology to track inventory and update records.
• Deliver materials and components to support assembly-line operations and maintain production flow.
• Work overtime as required to meet operational deadlines and support peak workload periods.
