About The Position

The Material Handler maintains production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product. The role supports inventory control, work-center material delivery, product preparation for shipment, and material-handling equipment inspections and operator repairs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with inventory control.
• Exposure to safety management.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding deadlines.
• Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on a computer.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex data and issues.
• Continual process-improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, label, and stock materials and supplies, and record inventory locations.
• Locate, pull, and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Deliver and open materials and supplies to maintain in-process inventory at work centers.
• Record units delivered and their locations to document material disposition.
• Verify codes, lot numbers, and quantities of returned materials and supplies from production, then place them in stock.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
• Record units shipped to document product shipments.
• Complete pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment and make operator repairs.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
