About The Position
The program is designed to provide the basic skills and knowledge essential for maintenance employees. At the conclusion of the program, the employee will have completed the requirements for a Technical Certificate in Industrial Technology and demonstrated on-the-job training experience.
Requirements
- Complete 4,000 hours of OJT along with completion of classes at IVY Tech-2-year program (Technical Certificate)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to life 50 pounds or more consistently.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance and repair of non-ferrous equipment and conveyer systems
- Perform basic maintenance duties (fabricate, install, read blueprints, and other basic maintenance requirements
- Operating various types of welding equipment.
- Complete necessary paperwork for each job.
- Prioritize and execute jobs given by supervision.
- A clear understanding and adherence to safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions (both inside and outside, varying heights)
- All other tasks as assigned.
