About The Position

FMM is seeking a motivated Plumbing Apprentice to join its maintenance and construction company, which serves residential and commercial clients nationwide. The role assists with installing new plumbing systems on a multi-family construction project in Houma, Louisiana. The position also involves assisting with residential and commercial plumbing installation and repair and communicating with clients, vendors, peers, and supervisors. Other duties may be assigned. The job description is a summary of primary duties and may be changed at the company’s discretion.

Requirements

• At least 1–3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing installation and service; the posting also lists one year of previous experience.
• High school diploma.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with a team and independently without instruction.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and a Fit for Duty Screening.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using mobile-friendly technology.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer, text, and email skills.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions using FMM’s core values of Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Safety, and Versatility.

• Plumbing tools; tools are not required but are a plus.

Responsibilities
