About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification or licensure for preschool or early childhood education
• Prior experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a lead teacher role
• Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate instructional strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children and families
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to early childhood education
• Knowledge of HighScope Curriculum
• BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education/Early Childhood, or closely related field.
• Experience working in a group care setting along with supervisory experience
• Immunization requirements: MMR, Tdap, Hep B, Varicella, Annual influenza

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents and guardians
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, safety, and health regulations
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to enhance teaching practices
• Support inclusive education by adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs
