About The Position

StarChild Academy, part of Endeavor Schools, is hiring a Lead Preschool Teacher to create a positive learning environment and support children’s development. The teacher develops and implements age-appropriate curriculum, plans engaging learning activities, and monitors and documents children’s progress. The role also involves ensuring children’s safety and well-being and fostering a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. Endeavor Schools offers educators career development programs and opportunities for advancement. The position requires Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law; candidates may need to complete screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
45 DCF Hours.
Two to five years of prior experience working in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with the assigned age group.
Meet specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members.
Patience, collaboration, creativity, and passion for early childhood education.
Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Early Childhood Development or CDA certification preferred.
