As an Acute Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Banner Payson Medical Center, you will have patient care responsibilities, pharmacokinetics, renal dosing, and other clinical practices. IV compounding, including chemotherapy and supervising pharmacy technicians when on duty. You will plan to spend 2 days in outpatient clinic setting collaborating with providers/nursing, patient teaching, and assisting with new orders. Varied work schedule, generally days. This involves being on call, weekends and holiday rotations. You will split time between the outpatient clinic and hospital setting. The Pharmacy is staffed from 6:30AM - 5:30PM Monday - Friday and 7:30AM -4:30PM on weekends and holidays. A Pharmacist is on - call after hours for emergent needs. Banner Payson Medical Center also offers an array of outpatient services and specialty clinics including OB/GYN, urology and podiatry surgery, general and orthopedic surgery, family medicine, outpatient imaging, bone densitometry, diagnostic x-rays, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiac stress testing, CT scans, MRI, pulmonary function testing, EEG, infusion center, rehabilitation therapies, plus sleep studies and pain management. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients using the medication use process. This position is accountable for documentation of all components of pharmaceutical care they deliver to patients. Oversees the activities of pharmacy technicians and interns, coordinating workflow and approving medications prior to being dispensed. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served. Must assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements and provide pharmaceutical care based on those needs. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws regarding the profession of pharmacy practice.
