Design Intern
About The Position
Dreamwear is a wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear company whose Design team establishes trend, color, and style direction for seasonal and customer-driven lines. The team creates apparel designs for internal trend presentations and external buyer meetings, and manages sample development and production with cross-functional partners after orders are placed. Dreamwear is seeking a Design Intern for Spring 2027. The intern will support color and fabric organization, sample preparation, production detail sheets, flat sketching, and trend research. The ideal candidate is passionate, self-motivated, eager to learn, positive, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Fashion Design program.
- Must be able to commit to at least two full days.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Match colors across a variety of color libraries and samples.
- Make and construct color chips, cards, and presentation boards.
- File and organize colors and fabrics.
- Prepare meeting samples.
- Work on production detail sheets.
- Assist designers with flat sketching and trend research.
