About The Position
Hickory Creek at Winamac is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who are looking to turn their passion into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon successful completion of the training and testing, graduates will have the opportunity to work at any of ASC’s 100 locations across Indiana. Furthermore, ASC provides additional pathways and opportunities for career advancement in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- No previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation and feeding assistance.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Responding to patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing companionship alongside care.
