Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
• Ability to get along with a variety of personalities and individuals.
• Possessing the trait of being organized for following a systematic method of performing a task.
• Working knowledge of cleaners, solvents, and equipment.
• Microsoft Office beginner level to include Word, Excel, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates daily in person or over the telephone with clients who inquire about reserving guestrooms, (Individual through multiple guestrooms), employing sales techniques to book the reservation(s).
• Prepares Guest confirmations of reservations or cancellations, booking contracts and related correspondence regarding guest reservations (groups or individuals).
• Empties wastebaskets, empties, and cleans ashtrays, and transports other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Assist guests with luggage or other guest services as requested.
• Restock linen rooms with clean stock from Laundry.
• Assist housekeeping and laundry personnel with lifting and storing supply items.
• Rotate mattresses upon request.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Dust and polishes furniture and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and/or polishes floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
• Answers multi-line telephone providing information, routing calls, and taking messages.
• Observes precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report any damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
• Removes debris from driveways, parking lots, and swimming pool areas.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
• Learn the check-in and checkout functions and a basic understanding of the Front Desk.
• Provides courteous guest service and responds promptly to guest’s requests, questions, or complaints.
• Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
• All other duties as assigned.
