About The Position
Sleep Inn Housekeepers are expected to maintain and promote excellence in hospitality and customer service. They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms and common areas and assisting guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner. The Sleep Inn Hotel is part of one of the largest hotel chains recognized by Choice Hotels. This specific property is newly remodeled and located on the grounds of the Joplin 44 Petro Truckstop. The company, with over 55 years of experience, aims to provide highway hospitality, serving drivers and the motoring public with clean, modern facilities offering fuel, food, and supplies, including meals from popular restaurant chains, trucking supplies, showers, and laundry facilities.
Requirements
- Must have prior hotel housekeeping experience
- Ability to stand and walk 90% of the time while servicing rooms
- Required to push cleaning cart and operate vacuums
- Ability to push or lift approximately 20 to 25 lbs.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact daily with the customers and employees.
- Must have flexible work hours and be willing to work weekends and holidays if requested.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test for any drugs causing impairment, including recreational marijuana.
- Must pass background checks.
- Must be willing to undergo random drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Remove and replace soiled linens and prepare rooms neatly for guest arrivals
- Organize and replenish guestroom amenities
