About The Position
Mullens Markings, Inc. (MMI) is hiring Flagger Technicians for its Traffic Control Division, based in Buchanan, Virginia. The role involves working outdoors with a crew to help keep drivers, workers, and construction zones safe. Mullens Markings provides pavement marking and traffic control services throughout Virginia and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic region and operates as a company of Road Safety Services, which has operations across more than 23 states and more than 50 locations. Training and career growth are offered, including an opportunity to advance to a Lead position through field experience, dedication, and demonstrated performance.
Requirements
- Dependable and ready to work as part of a crew.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Available for days, nights, weekends, and overtime as projects require.
- Flagger certification preferred or ability to obtain required certification.
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record preferred.
- Traffic control or construction experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic safely through active work zones.
- Set up and remove signs, cones, and other traffic control devices.
- Communicate with drivers and crew members.
- Load and unload traffic control equipment.
- Help keep work zones safe and organized.
- Follow traffic control plans and safety procedures.
