About The Position

Mullens Markings, Inc. (MMI) is hiring dependable Flagger Technicians for its Traffic Control Division, based out of its Baltimore, Maryland location. The role involves working outdoors with a crew to help protect drivers, workers, and construction zones. Mullens Markings provides pavement marking and traffic control services throughout Maryland and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic region and is an operating company of Road Safety Services, which operates across more than 23 states and has more than 50 locations.

The Flagger Technician directs traffic through active work zones, sets up and removes traffic control devices, communicates with drivers and crew members, and helps keep work zones safe and organized. The position may offer advancement to a Lead role through field experience, dedication, and demonstrated performance. Traffic control or construction experience is not required; training and career growth opportunities are offered.

Requirements

• Dependable and ready to work as part of a crew.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Available for days, nights, weekends, and overtime as projects require.

Nice To Haves

• A valid driver's license with a good driving record is preferred.
• Traffic control or construction experience is a plus but is not required.
• Flagger certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain the required certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic safely through active work zones.
• Set up and remove signs, cones, and other traffic control devices.
• Communicate with drivers and crew members.
• Load and unload traffic control equipment.
• Help keep work zones safe and organized.
• Follow traffic control plans and safety procedures.
