About The Position

Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Northern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Restoration Field Project Manager (Senior Crew Chief) to join their team. This role involves leading restoration projects from initial inspection through completion, focusing on water, mold, fire, smoke, and emergency services for residential and commercial properties. Unlike desk-bound roles, this position requires hands-on leadership in the field, including inspecting losses, determining remediation protocols, developing field scopes, leading and working alongside restoration technicians, and ensuring projects are completed safely and professionally. Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional restoration experience.
  • Previous experience as a Crew Chief, Senior Technician, Field Supervisor, Project Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of water mitigation, mold remediation, structural drying, demolition, and emergency restoration.
  • Working knowledge of IICRC S500 and S520 Standards.
  • Ability to independently inspect losses and develop detailed field scopes.
  • Strong leadership and customer communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, roofs, basements, and other confined spaces.
  • Full-Time schedule.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own restoration projects from the initial inspection through completion.
  • Respond to residential and commercial water, mold, fire, smoke, and emergency restoration losses.
  • Inspect damaged properties and determine the proper remediation protocol in accordance with IICRC S500 and S520 Standards.
  • Develop detailed field scopes, measurements, photos, drying plans, demolition notes, and remediation procedures for the estimating team.
  • Collaborate with the estimator to ensure the scope accurately reflects the required work.
  • Lead and mentor restoration technicians while working alongside them in the field.
  • Perform water mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, selective demolition, smoke and odor remediation, and emergency services.
  • Build containments, establish negative air, perform HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial treatments, flood cuts, selective demolition, and encapsulation.
  • Install, monitor, and adjust drying equipment using moisture mapping, psychrometrics, and daily documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with IICRC standards.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, insurance adjusters, property managers, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation including moisture logs, photos, daily notes, and equipment records.
  • Perform final walkthroughs and ensure every customer receives exceptional service.
