Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification upon hire.
• Ability to obtain man lifts and CPR certifications upon hire.
• Strong work ethic, attendance, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel nationwide 100% of the time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and adapt to diverse team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in varied physical positions, including sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and climbing.
• Ability to wear required protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.

Nice To Haves

• 0–1 years of cable installation and/or splicing experience.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Man lifts and CPR certifications.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Support data center, ISP, and OSP projects at customer facilities nationwide.
• Inventory and install IT hardware such as backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and consumable supplies.
• Use hand tools to complete fiber splices.
• Read and interpret construction prints, splice matrices, cable pathway matrices, and drawings.
• Perform entry-level OTDR and power meter testing and contribute to customer test data and deliverables.
• Maintain splicing and testing equipment and report issues requiring repair or calibration.
• Install fiber and copper cable, including splicing, termination, assembly, and dressing, while following cable color codes and numbering conventions.
• Add and remove non-powered cables and equipment according to project scope.
• Meet production expectations set by experienced technicians or management.
• Maintain cleanliness and quality standards for company and customer property.
• Assess safety hazards and follow ADB and customer safety requirements and standards.
• Perform other position duties when requested.
