The work includes splicing large- and small-count fiber-optic cables and ribbon fiber, performing light labor such as lifting manhole covers and barricading open manholes, and working with inside and outside plant (ISP/OSP) terminations. The employee will work in, from, and around hand-holes and manholes. The role also requires physical field work, including extended periods standing and walking, navigating construction environments, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching. Employees must be able to distinguish colors and work aloft from ladders, platforms, poles, and bucket trucks, and must properly use required personal protective equipment.
