About The Position

Requirements

• Full-time Utility Steward
• Demonstrating the highest standards of culinary excellence, accountability, respect, integrity, and compassion.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and back-of-house work area, including dishwashing of china, glassware, flatware.
• Maintaining the food storeroom and executing special projects under the direction of the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and/or Executive Chef.
• May also set up public areas and help in dining area as requested by management.
• Weeknight, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, supplies, pots/pans, small wares, china, glass, and silver according to established safety standards and regulations.
• Operate dishwasher and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Cleans kitchen floors following standard procedures.
• Applies knowledge of safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Maintains and records data on required logs per company policies and procedures.
• Completes daily and weekly cleaning assignments per task lists.
• Regularly empties trash containers; shifts and cleans garbage cans; properly operates compactor.
• Minimizes loss and breakage through proper use, cleaning and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Performs duties in a timely and efficient manner and on a schedule determined by kitchen and dining operations.
