About The Position
Kestra is seeking a versatile Brand & UI Designer based in Europe to join its senior design team. This role is for a designer who enjoys working on Figma design systems, high-conversion landing pages, and brand identity projects. The designer will collaborate with the Founding Designer and UX Designer to ensure all Kestra outputs, from dashboard features to marketing visuals and conference booths, are visually appealing and technically accurate. Kestra is an open-source declarative orchestration platform that simplifies complex data workflows and business processes, aiming to bridge the gap between engineering and business logic. The company recently closed a $25M Series A funding round.
Requirements
- Dual portfolio showcasing strong experience in UI Design (web/interfaces with a focus on conversion) AND Brand/Graphic Design.
- Ability to translate complex features into simple, high-impact diagrams or interfaces.
- Expert-level knowledge of Figma, including components, variables, and auto-layout.
- Understanding of clean, technical aesthetics.
- Understanding of web building blocks (HTML/CSS) for effective collaboration with frontend engineers.
- Ability to thrive in a remote-first, async environment and manage projects autonomously from brief to delivery.
Nice To Haves
- Spatial thinking ability to conceptualize booth layouts or physical branding for events.
- Talent for creating custom, pixel-perfect icon sets.
- Experience working with developer-tooling brands or OSS communities.
Responsibilities
- Design landing pages and marketing site to maximize conversion and simplify/visualize technical concepts.
- Transform complex architectures into clear, understandable visuals.
- Collaborate with the UX Designer to refine the Kestra interface, design custom icons, and refine UI components.
- Maintain the Figma Design System to ensure a consistent visual language between the marketing site and the product.
- Maintain and expand Kestra's visual language across all digital channels, ensuring consistency in typography, color theory, and layout.
- Design visuals for social media, slide decks, and product release materials.
- Design physical touchpoints, including premium merchandise and spatial layout/signage for event booths.
