• Learned to code (or are learning) to implement designs without waiting for an engineering backlog.
• Expert in design tools and systems thinking.
• Figma, design systems, component libraries, and interaction patterns are second nature.
• Think in systems—understanding how individual components combine to create cohesive experiences.
• Designed and maintained design systems that scale across products.
• Use AI coding assistants like Cursor, Claude Code, v0.dev, and Replit.
• Shipped AI-native features to production.
• Understand the unique challenges of building with LLMs.
• Drive outcomes with user-centered thinking.
• Bring energy that elevates others.
• See impossible UX challenges as opportunities to innovate.

Responsibilities

• Define and build the "look and feel" of AI-native workflows.
• Ensure complex enterprise tools feel intuitive.
• Translate concepts into working prototypes rapidly using AI coding assistants.
• Move from idea to high-fidelity, close to production-grade code.
• Obsess over details including micro-interactions, transitions, spacing, color, and accessibility.
• Design for non-determinism and create delightful experiences around unpredictable AI outputs.
• Innovate on UX patterns that make cutting-edge AI feel intuitive.
• Ground design decisions in user research and real feedback.
• Own the end-to-end experience from initial sketches to final implementation.
• Advocate for users while balancing business constraints and technical feasibility.
• Elevate the design bar for the entire team.
• Own the primary user-facing features, defining the visual language, interaction patterns, and user flows, and ship them to production.
• Build and evolve the design system, designing reusable component libraries that work in Figma and in code.
• Establish patterns for layouts, interactions, and visual hierarchy.
• Ensure consistency across the platform while maintaining flexibility for innovation.
• Partner with product and engineers to understand AI capabilities and design interfaces that make complex capabilities feel simple.
• Translate technical possibilities into delightful user experiences.
