As a Controls Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with innovative people, making an impact by performing routine preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment, reading and interpreting technical drawings, and working with engineering and production personnel on troubleshooting, modification, fabrication, and repair of plant equipment, utilities, and processes. You will also provide technical recommendations for improvement and optimization of plant equipment, utilities, and processes. Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing, is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and two (2) years of Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls/SCADA or Robotics experience in a private, public, government or military environment OR High School Diploma/GED (completed prior to start) and six (6) years of experience in Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls/SCADA or Robotics in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • PLC programming experience
  • Industrial motor drive controls troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working with electrical equipment and Industrial maintenance
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including, but not limited to: AC/DC drives and motors, programmable logic controllers, process controllers, stepper & servo motors and controllers, fire protection equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, and plant support equipment
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, sketches, vendor drawings and manuals in the performance of this job
  • Working with engineering and production personnel during the troubleshooting, modification, fabrication and repair of plant equipment, utilities, and processes
  • Providing technical recommendations regarding improvement and optimization of plant equipment, utilities, and processes.
  • Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
  • Complying with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties.
